Former MSPT Champ Takes A Hit

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

In one of the last hands of level 7, TJ Ryan followed two limpers with a limp of his own from the hijack and Steve Viramt checked his option in the big blind to make it a four-way flop. The flop was {7-}{9-}{7-} rainbow, Viramt checked and one of the limpers led out for 2,500. Ryan and Viramt called and saw the turn come the {6-Diamonds}, putting a second diamond on the board. The action was checked to Ryan who bet 3,100. Viramt called, the other player folded, and they were heads up to the river.

The {j-Spades} fell on the river and Viramt once again checked the action to Ryan who fired 5,500. Viramt called the bet, Ryan showed pocket tens and Viramt turned over {7-}{5-} for trips and the pot. Ryan, a former MSPT champion is now below the starting stack and Viramt is up to over 56,000.
