The two players who will decide who will be crowned Champion of the THMC Liechtenstein Main Event are taking a small break while they prepare for the forthcoming heads up battle.
"Kaspar Schmid" open-jammed his 3,100,000 stack from the button and Anton Heinrich made the call from the small blind. Big blind Karim Frick folded and the two Swiss players shared a showdown.
"Kaspar Schmid": K♥J♥
Anton Heinrich: Q♥Q♠
The board brought no help for the at-risk "Kaspar Schmid" when it ran out 4♥10♣2♦A♦5♣. He said his goodbyes to the two remaining players, as well as to the staff, and went to the payout desk in jovial spirits.
Daniel Schwitter limped in from the button and "Kaspar Schmid" completed his small blind. Anton Heinrich sat waiting in the big blind and made a raise to 1,400,000, after which Schwitter back-raised all-in for 4,500,000. "Kaspar Schmid" got out of the way before Heinrich made the call.
Daniel Schwitter: 8♦8♣
Anton Heinrich: K♥J♥
Heinrich would immediately flop a pair on K♦5♥2♣, and neither the 2♣ turn nor 4♠ river brought a set for Schwitter.
He drunk what was left of his beer and exited the tournament in fourth place.
"Kaspar Schmid" raised to 450,000 from under the gun with A♥K♣. Karim Frick then called A♣9♣ from the small blind and Daniel Schwitter called as well from the big blind, with K♦Q♠
The 7♠10♥6♣ flop saw Schwitter lead for 350,000 after a check from Frick, and both players made the call thereafter.
The turn fell the 9♦ and Schwitter did not slow down, opting to up his sizing to 650,000 after another check from the small blind.
"Kaspar Schmid" now folded his Big Slick, and Frick followed suit with his pair of nines, granting the pot to Schwitter
Karim Frick raised his A♣Q♥ for 350,000 from under the gun and Daniel Schwitter made the call from the button. Frick then continued for 290,000 on the 10♣2♣6♠ flop and Schwitter raised to 750,000.
Frick laid his hand down and Schwitter snooped up a small pot.
Karim Frick raised to 350,000 from the button with 7♥6♥ and Daniel Schwitter called 9♣7♣ from the small blind. Big blind "Kaspar Schmid" followed suit with J♣4♣ and the three of them went to a flop.
Frick flopped the super nuts on 3♠5♥4♥ and bet 200,000 once the action had checked to him. Both Schwitter and "Kaspar Schmid" made the call and the 6♠ turn was dealt.
Now it was Schwitter who took the betting lead with his newly acquired straight. He decided upon a size of 425,000 and "Kaspar Schmid" got out of the way,
Frick then decided to go all-in and Schwitter quickly called. Both players could still win outright with a flush or a higher straight, but the river 6♦ made sure the pot was chopped in the end.
Anton Heinrich raised his button with 9♣5♣ to 400,000 and small blind Karim Frick called with A♣10♦, as did Daniel Schwitter in the big blind with Q♠6♥.
The board of K♠4♥3♣8♥Q♥ then checked around and Schwitter's pair of queens raked in the three-way pot.
