Jared Griener opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 20,000. It folded to Ty Dobbertin in the big blind who made the call.
The flop came 2♠6♦10♥ and Dobbertin check-called a bet of 18,000 from Griener.
Both players checked to the river after the 4♦ on the turn, which brought the 4♠. Dobbertin then bet 25,000 and after giving it some thought, Griener mucked to give the pot to the 'LA Poker Roundup' podcaster Dobbertin.
Di Wu opened the action from the under, going all in for his stack of 625,000. It folded to the big blind Dylan Nguyen, who said "okay" and made the call for his last 80,000.

Wu was ahead with his ace high, and after the board ran out 3♠8♠10♣A♣5♦ Wu improved to pair of aces to knockout Nguyen.
Moments later Paul Nguyen was seen leaving the tournament area after being eliminated.
Action folded to a player in the small blind who went all in for 125,000, and Yan Yan quickly called.

The small blind ran into a real hand of Yan, and after the board ran out 9♣10♠6♦10♦7♠ Yan turned quad tens, to eliminate her opponent and put players on the stone bubble.
Action folded to Kyung Lee on the button who raised all in for 98,000. Once the small blind folded, the big blind Ty Dobbertin slowly sweated his cards, and then snap called to put Lee at risk.

It was the ultimate cooler for Dobbertin, and once the board ran out 3♣8♣A♦7♦4♣ Lee improved to a set of aces to secure the double up.
Action was picked up with Andy Garcia all in for 37,000 and Jared Griener calling to put him at risk.

Garcia was very short and in desperate need of a double up. He found just that after the board ran out 7♦10♣Q♠5♠Q♦ to improve to two pair, queens and sevens to double up.

Garcia ran straight into the jacks, and would need help to avoid being the bubble boy. But once the board ran out 7♦7♣K♥Q♣K♣ the pockets jacks of Dobbertin were still best, and eliminated Garcia to burst the bubble.
Another day of the $1,200 Main Event at The Commerce Casino Hold’em Series as been completed. The fourth of five Day 1 flights saw the most entrants yet with 114, and 11 players advancing to Day 2. That brings the total number of entrants to 263, and it looks like the players will skyrocket past $300,000 guarantee for this event. The 11 players making it Day 2 will join the 15 who have already advanced. The chip leader at the end of Day 1d is Bradley Harris who bagged 679,000.
Harris is from Los Angeles, claiming over $220,000 in career poker earnings, and is looking top a career-best score of $56,360 with a deep run in this event. Right behind Harris in chips is Di Wu, who bagged 674,000. Third in chips at the end of the night was Jared Griener with 604,000.

There were some notable names in the field who were unable to find a bag, including retired business man Bill Klein who is one of the friendliest and most respected people in the poker world. Klein saw himself navigating a short throughout most of the day, before being eliminated just as late registration closed. Other notable names in the field include 2024 World Series of Poker bracelet winners Brent Hart, and Michael Liang, who were both eliminated early in Day 1d.

The 11 players in the field were able to make the money and bag up for Day 2 did so after 'LA Poker Roundup’ podcaster Ty Dobbertin eliminated Andy Garcia with pocket jacks after Garcia went all in for his last 70,000 chips with ace-jack.

For the Day 1 flights, players will start with 40,000 chips at the 100/200 blind levels. There will be 40-minute blind levels, until the final table where they will play 60-minute levels. Players will have a 15-minute break after every three levels of play.
This event has unlimited rebuys, with registration for this event concluding after the start of Level 10, and Day 1 flights ending after the players make the money. 1 out of 10 players will make the money. Players may play multiple Day 1 flights after bagging to improve their Day 2 stack. Any player who bags multiple times will have their smaller stack taken out of play, and
receive a min cash for their stack.
