Holz Takes a Big Hit, Shakerchi Chips Up
Fedor Holz, who entered 45 minutes late, was seated directly to Phil Ivey's right and he just came into the pot with a raise to 7,500 under the gun plus one. Ivey made the call and so did both blinds, Dan Smith and Talal Shakerchi.
The flop came down and the blinds checked to Holz who paused for 30 seconds before betting 16,500.
Ivey quickly folded, and so did Smith, before Shakerchi check-raised to 47,500.
Holz made the call and on the turn the hit. Shakerchi put together a bigger bet, and fired out 103,000 into Holz, who didn't hesitate much before calling.
The board completed on the river with the and Shakerchi quickly bet another 157,500. The clock ticked down to Holz's final 20 seconds, before he asked how the time bank cards work. Scott Seiver quickly explained that a time bank chip would be taken from him when the clock reached 1:00, and Holz opted to fold before he had to do so.
