Kross Busts Two with Aces

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

After losing a portion of his stack to Frank Parisi's big bluff hand, Nate Kross woke up with another big hand soon after. This time, however, two players moved all in front of him. Kross made an easy call with pocket aces and had both opponents at risk.

Nate Kross: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Kross held even improving to a set of aces to knockout both players.

Parisi Bluffs Big

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player in middle position opened to 23,000 and Frank Parisi three-bet to 62,000 on the button. Parisi's raise was met by a four-bet to 170,000 and Parisi flatted.

The flop came {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and the middle position player checked. Parisi shoved for about 500,000 sending his opponent into the tank for his tournament life.

Parisi's opponent cut down his stack totally 270,000 and eventually found a fold stating he had pocket kings.

Parisi quickly tabled the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for his tablemates to see.

Boutelle Cracks Mader's Aces

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Kurt Boutelle (from a previous event)
Kurt Boutelle (from a previous event)

When Tom Mader came back at Kurt Boutelle with a preflop four-bet shove, Boutelle knew something was up but.. you can't ever fold pocket kings preflop can you?

Boutelle decided against folding and put Mader at risk.

Tom Mader: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Kurt Boutelle: {k-}{k-}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Boutelle spiked a king on the trun to make a set and eliminate Mader in cruel fasion.

Kruger Takes From Wagner

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Dan Wagner opened to 12,000 in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 34,000 from Barry Kruger out of the small blind. An {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop was dealt and both players checked.

The {j-Spades} hit the turn and Kruger fired 21,000 which Wagner flatted to bring the {6-Hearts} on the river. Kruger bet 22,000 this street and Wagner called.

Kruger turned over the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Wagner mucked.
