Leo Kaplin just knocked out two players in one shot to take the Level 4 chip lead.

His {A-}{10-} was up against a short-stacked Kristan Mackiewicz' {q-}{7-} and another shorty's pocket fives. Mackiewicz turned a seven, but Kaplin binked the ace on the river.

Mackiewicz had her aces run over by running sevens a few minutes before and is ringing the reentry bell right now.

Welcome Back to PokerNews' continuing coverage of the 2017 Western New York Poker Challenge.

Tonight we present Event #5 on the WNYPC schedule, a $150 No Limit Hold'em reentry tournament with a $10,000 prizepool guarantee.

A similarly structured event was held Monday and it drew 72 players creating a slight overlay to cover the $10,000 guarantee. Alicia LaPorte Pachla chopped heads up with fellow local tournament regular Art Demmerley and she ended up with the trophy and title. It marked her second 2017 WNYPC win in a row as she had also earned the title in a chop in the first $150 event of the series Sunday.

Pachla is reportedly taking the night off to let somebody else have a chance to win tonight.

Play begins at 5 p.m. and players start with 10,000 in chips in this quickly structured tournament. The Levels are just 20 minutes long. Registration and unlimited reentry is available up until the beginning of Level 10.

The action last night was solid and speedy, so hold on to your hats, Event #5 on the WNYPC schedule starts now!
