Kross' Triple-Range Merge
Local cash game grinder Nathan Kross admits he's at a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to tournament play, but he's trying to do something about it.
He's started studying preflop ranges and brought a sheet with him tonight to advise him as he weaves his way through the field in this flight.
It all seemed to work out perfectly moments ago when he joined one relatively short player in calling an 800-chip open. They went three ways to a flop and checked to the original raiser, who bet 1,600.
The shorty shoved for 4,750, Kross called, and the raiser came along as well. The turn saw Kross ship it in and the original raiser fold. Kross showed two nines for the flopped set, and when the shorty showed two tens, the original raiser claimed the same.
Drawing dead, shorty picked up his things and left as the river bricked and Kross went back to studying his ranges with heaps more to play around with.
