Dennis Danielski Eliminated in 14th Place ($390)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Dennis Danielski - 14th Place
Dennis Danielski - 14th Place

Action folded around to the active Glenn Pawlowski on the button and he raised to 60,000. Dennis Danielski, who has been nursing a short stack for a long time, decided it was time to commit his last 13,000 from the small blind. The big folded and Danielski turned out to be in great shape to double.

Danielski: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Pawlowski: {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop gave both players a pair of kings, but Danielski's kicker had him out in front. The dealer then burned and turned the {7-Spades}.

"Oh come on," Danielski said upon discovering his opponent made two pair. The {J-Diamonds} then blanked on the river and Danielski was dispatched in 14th place.

Pawlowski Finds a Way to Stay Alive

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Glenn Pawlowski opened for 45,000 and received a call from Barry Kruger in the small blind. After the big blind folded, the flop came down {a-}{j-}{8-Clubs} and Kruger checked to Pawlowski, who moved all in. Kruger snap-called with the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} for two pair, which was well out in front of Pawlowski's {k-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The {8-Hearts} turn meant Pawlowski would exit in 14th place unless he caught a queen on the river, which is exactly what he did when the {Q-Diamonds} spiked! The table was in disbelief while Pawlowski simply shrugged and collected chips.

Greg Long Eliminated in 15th Place ($390)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

In the last hand before the break, three players saw a flop of {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Greg Long moved all in for roughly 70,000 from the big blind. Barry Kruger folded, and then Kevin Volz wasted little time in calling.

Volz: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}
Long: {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

Long had flopped middle pair, but it was no good as Volz held top pair. Neither the {7-Clubs} turn nor {a-Spades} river helped Long, and he was eliminated in 15th place for $390.

Josh Knight Lands on the Bubble

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Josh Knight
Josh Knight

Andy Spears opened to 32,000 from early position and Josh Knight shoved for around 100,000 from middle position. Action folded around to the chip leader, and he called.

Knight: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Spears: {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop looked safe for Knight, but the {6-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river gave Spears a runner-runner straight to eliminate Knight one spot away from the money.

Each of the 15 players are now guaranteed at least $390.

Mueller Crippled Then Eliminated

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Johannes Mueller
Johannes Mueller

Two hands and it's all over for Johannes Mueller.

In the first, Mueller opened for 40,000 and was met by a three-bet to 85,000 by Kevin Volz from the button. The blinds folded, Mueller elected to call, and the flop came down {9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Mueller then paused a moment before moving all in, which Volz snap-called.

Volz: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Mueller: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"I picked the wrong hand to bluff," Mueller lamented. Indeed he had as Volz flopped middle set. The Jh} turn locked up the hand for Volz, and after the {3-Spades} was run out on the river, the stacks were verified. Volz doubled his last 118,000 while Mueller was left with just 24,000.

In the very next hand, Mueller put it in blind under the gun and received calls from Barry Kruger and Greg Long in early position and the big blind respectively. Both active players checked it down as the board ran out {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Mueller mucked at the showdown. Kruger then showed the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, which was good enough to beat Long's {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Meanwhile, Ted Blaszczak was also eliminated from the tournament which means we are now hand for hand.
