Veldhuis Ran Deep but Missed the Final Table Cut in the SCOOP $1,050 NLHE Main Event
After three days of play, the SCOOP-92-M: $1,050 NLHE Main Event at PokerStars migrated from a massive 5,903-entry field to just nine players with Greece's "alimounda" heading into the final table with the chip lead after virtually bagging a stack of 145,160,826 in chips.
"alimounda" was near the top of the pile a good part of the penultimate day and took the chip lead near the end of it after hitting a hitting a set with treys against the top two pair held by Day 2 chip leader Mario "livinmydream1" Mosboeck, who survived with a stack of 38,662,286. The Day 1 chip leader "Morrison830" is also still in the mix with a stack of 31,639,642.
Meanwhile, "PopAShush" (127,656,449) and "j_peso4" will join "alimounda" at the start of the final table in the 100 million chip club with Bernardo "betsoares" Soares (61,184,522), "mvpalls" (30,240,444), "rmiguel2007" (22,474,710), and "onlyuknowme" (19,360,416) also still in the hunt tomorrow for the $838,909 top prize.
The event had a huge buzz from the start with PokerStars Team Online member Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis still in the mix and streaming at his Twitch channel to thousands of fans. He doubled up early on and had the chip lead on a few occasions before his deep run ended in 17th place for $20,257.

Day 3 Action
Day 3 took about six hours from start to finish to get from an 80 player field down to just nine with all all returning players guaranteed at least the 80th place prize of $5,979.
In addition to Veldhuis, many big names advanced to Day 3 but made it no further including the final four eliminations of the day in Pablo "elmelogno4" Melogno, Alexander "Akademnuk" Lakhov, Pablo "pabritz" Brito, and Ramon "ramonkrop" Kropmanns.
The day ended after Melogno bluffed off a good bit of his stack before running into the quads held by "PopAShush" to finish him off.
Final Table Payouts
All returning players are guaranteed at least a ninth-place prize of $55,926 with payouts going up fast from there. Tomorrow's winner will bank $838,909 unless a deal is made. Any deals must leave at least $50,000 for the eventual winner.
