"Cantaloupe91" Wins SCOOP-92-L: $109 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] ($376,087)
It was a quick final table, but a long heads up as "Cantaloupe91" from Greece parlayed their second place stack from the start of the day into a SCOOP title and $376,087 a few hours later. Over the course of the four day SCOOP-92-L: $109 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event], they outlasted 38,913 total entries, ending Day 3 second in chips out of the final nine. The massive field blew past the guarantee, putting $3,891,300 into the middle for prizes.
This score looks to be huge for them. PokerNews shows about $6,000 in previous wins for "Cantaloupe91" from SCOOP this year and last, and PocketFives shows a $3,776 win in a recent Bounty Builder $215, but this win looks to dwarf those previous results.

Final Table Action
Chip counts were a bit top heavy heading into today's final table with the top three players holding more than two-thirds of the chips, and two of those top stacks ended up battling for the win. "Lordof0512", who started the day third in chips, wasn't so lucky after waking up with queens, but running into ace-king for "Essa_mania" in a double knock-out hand just a few minutes into the day's play.
The fast action continued, and before the first break of the day they were down to just three players left in action. "carafalo" was eliminated in third shortly after the first break was over, to set up heads up action between the two biggest stacks to start the day.
While the first seven eliminations went quickly, heads up play was a grueling battle nearly two hours long. Both players held the chip lead several times during heads up play, and the each had at least one chance to end it all. In the end, it took five full levels of heads up play to finally determine a winner in this one.
Most of the final damage to "Essa_mania" was done in a hand where they bluffed river and got called by "Cantaloupe91" with a rivered king. That left "Essa_mania" very short, and all the chips went in the next hand, losing with ace-jack against the queen-deuce for "Cantaloupe91" that rivered a straight.
"Essa_mania" won $265,914 for second place, while the SCOOP title and $376,087 went to "Cantaloupe91" for the win.
