Day 2 Completed
Hungary's Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas shipped the two-day SCOOP-06-H: $10,300 NLHE High Roller at PokerStars after navigating through a star-studded final table including beating Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz in heads-up play to bank the $254,256 top prize.
Bujtas is no stranger to winning SCOOP events as this is his third title. However, this was his first SCOOP title in a no-limit hold'em event with his previous wins coming in the SCOOP-03-H: $2,100 NL Draw for $37,740 in 2016 and the SCOOP-46-H: $530 PLO Rebuy for $83,042 in 2019.
Bujtas entered the final table as the table captain. However, his chip lead bounced around to several players before he took control for good with three players remaining.
The High Roller was a huge success with many big names in action including at the final table. The event attracted 116 entrants on Day 1 for a $1,160,000 prize pool to smash the $1 million guarantee.

Yesterday's Day 1 witnessed the field trim down from 116 entries to just a final table of nine players after nearly seven hours of play. The final table lasted two hours and 46 minutes but most of the remaining players didn't survive nearly that long.
Bujtas began the day as the chip leader with Simon "C. Darwin" Mattsson and Holz as his closest competition.
Big news was announced during the live stream hosted at the PokerStars Twitch channel by Joe Stapleton and James Hartigan was announced as guests Parker Talbot and Sam Grafton were introduced as the newest members of PokerStars Team Online. Both of these players were in the High Roller but failed to cash on Day 1.
The first hour of play witnessed five of the nine players hit the rail including Laurynas "LaurisL91" Levinskas (fifth - $91,624), Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet (sixth - $70,989), Artur "mararthur1" Martirosian (seventh - $55,002), Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche (eighth - $42,615), and Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden (ninth - $33,766) during which Michael "imluckbox" Addamo captured the chip lead.
The action then slowed down four-handed with no eliminations taking place for more than an hour. During this time the lead bounced back and forth between Addamo and Bujtas. Butjas eventually regained clear control as table captain with more than half the chips in play.
Mattsson then got short on chips and lost a flip with sevens against the jack-ten suited held by Holz to hit the door in fourth place for $118,256.
Things began to temporarily fall apart for Bujtas who at one point slipped into third place with Holz taking the lead, although all three players were close in chips. Bujtas then powered back into the lead before he eliminated Addamo in third place for $152,630 after flopping a full house with nine-four and getting Addamo to commit his stack with king-ten suited after a ten hit the turn.
Bujtas entered heads-up play with a 2.5:1 chip advantage against Holz. The battle lasted only six hands but it could have lasted longer if not for Holz taking a horrific bad beat to settle for the $196,995 runner-up prize.
Butjas over-bet the pot with king-jack on a ten-high board and no straight or flush draws. Holz called off his stack with king-eight suited for a pair of eights on the board. Although Holz was a 93 percent favorite to win the hand when the chips got in, a jack spiked the river to give Bujtas a better pair and his third SCOOP title.
Congrats to Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Butjas on a spectacular win.
This concludes our coverage of the SCOOP-06-H: $10,300 NLHE High Roller. However, PokerNews will be with you during the entire SCOOP, so be sure to check back in to follow along in another big event.
