PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker 96-M: $530 Main Event 2nd Chance Starts at 1 PM
At 1 p.m. EST, it's time for the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker 96-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event 2nd Chance] kicks off another 3-day event which comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000. Earlier this week, Joao "HayashiJoão" Hayashi took down the SCOOP-74-M: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] by defeating Michael "merla888" Gathy heads-up for $920,067 in a field of 6,475 entries which broke all the previous attendance records.
Who knows who will take this tournament down as it offers players another chance of winning big with a $530 buy-in. As this is the first time that PokerStars has organized a tournament under this moniker, this gives everyone a chance to make their mark in history by becoming the inaugural SCOOP Main Event 2nd Chance Champion. With over a week of tournaments still to come, this is one of the ones that would look good on anyone's online poker resumé.
Players will get 100,000 chips to start with and play 20-minute levels throughout all three days according to the tournament lobby. Players can reenter three times for a total of four entries during the first six hours and 5 minutes of late registration that is possible. There's a 5-minute break every hour at 55 minutes past and Day 1 will end after 8h30. Play should resume at 1:05 p.m. EST on May 25 and end when there are 16 players left. The final day will see those 16 players return at 1:05 p.m. to battle it out to a winner.
PokerNews will be watching the action at the online tables and reporting back here, so keep reading along.
