Drinan Nearing a Two-To-One Chip Advantage

Level 37 : 175,000/350,000, 0 ante

Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen raised to 1.05 million on the button and Connor "blanconegro" Drinan three-bet to the size of the pot, making it 3.15 million to go. Kyllonen called.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Drinan made a continuation-bet for 6.3 million, which was the size of the pot. Kyllonen folded and Drinan took down the pot.

Drinan followed up the hand by winning another small pot on the very next hand, and is now closing in on a two-to-one chip lead with the current level looking to come to a close shortly.

Level 37 : 175,000/350,000, 0 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Hand #1: Connor "blanconegro" Drinan completed on the button and Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen checked his option. The pair checked all the way to the river on a board of {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Kyllonen bet 525,000.

Drinan went into his time bank and then put in a pot-sized raise of 2.275 million, getting a fold from Kyllonen to earn him the pot.

Hand #2: On the very next hand, Kyllonen raised the pot to 1.05 million on the button and Drinan defended his big blind. The flop was {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Drinan check-called a continuation-bet of 700,000 from Kyllonen.

The turn was {k-Clubs} and Drinan checked again. Kyllonen continued, making a second barrel of 1.75 million and Drinan put in a check-raise to 4.935 million.

Kyllonen thought for around 15 seconds and then let his hand go, resulting in Drinan taking down a second consecutive pot with a late-street raise. With the pot, Drinan has chipped up to 21.2 million and has now become the chip leader over Kyllonen, who has 18.49 million.

Connor "blanconegro" Drinan completed on the button and then called a raise to 1.05 million from
Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen in the big blind. The flop was {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Kyllonen made a continuation-bet of 700,000. Drinan called.

The turn came {6-Hearts} and Kyllonen continued, firing a second barrel of 1.75 million. Drinan called once more, bringing the river {7-Clubs}. Kyllonen checked to Drinan and he thought for enough time that he needed to activate his time bank before making a bet of 2.31 million.

Drinan's bet was more than enough to make Kyllonen fold without much hesitation, earning Drinan the pot to take him back over 15 million just one hand after he had found himself back at a stack of 10 million.

Jens Kyllonen

Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen made it 1.05 million to go on the button and Connor "blanconegro" Drinan called the pot-sized open in the big blind to bring a flop of {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Drinan fired out a bet of 567,000. Kyllonen called. The river fell {9-Spades} and Drinan made a pot-sized bet of 3.23 million. Kyllonen called almost immediately.

Drinan showed {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for the busted wrapped straight draw that he picked up on the turn and the pot was sent to Kyllonen, who had called with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for nines full and regained the chips he had lost in the last few hands with his full house.

Level 36 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Joao "Naza114" Vieira saw action fold to him in the small blind and completed. Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen raised the size of the pot, making it 900,000 to go and Vieira called. The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Vieira checked to Kyllonen, who made a continuation-bet of 1.05 million. Vieira called.

The turn was {6-Diamonds} and Vieira checked again. Kyllonen continued, betting another 2.925 million. Vieira called and the river fell {q-Spades}. Vieira checked to Kyllonen once more, and Kyllonen made a pot-sized bet of 9.75 million.

The bet was enough to put Vieira to a decision for his remaining 7.57 million, and Vieira wasted no time calling.

Joao "Naza114" Vieira: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Unfortunately for Vieira, Kyllonen had the one hand that could beat his own and he was eliminated from the tournament in third place, earning $186,695 for his three-day effort as the heads-up match between Kyllonen and Connor "blanconegro" Drinan has begun.
