Final Day Recap
Notables to fall short of the final table in SCOOP-14-H included Dzmitry "Colisa" Urbanovich, Jason "JASON.MAC100" McConnon, and Gary "quiditbear" Hasson.
"j_peso4" was an early contender for overall chip leader, before Tony "RunLkMercier" Della Sciucca went from six million to over 15 million in the space of a few hands. First he doubled through "micha88" and then eliminated Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado to move atop the standings.
This meant that Della Sciucca went into the final table as chip leader, but that was all to change a short time later. Following the elimination of Sebastian "sebasnato" Toro in eighth, "Korrinho" eliminated Paul "Fold Machiii" Dando and Mikael "Vakio Assa" Koistinen in the same hand, with "fattypants22" following them both out the door to see him lead with five players left.
Over an hour past before "Korrinho" added to his list of victims with the elimination of "RUMUKULUS" in fifth place, before another huge pot saw former chip leader Della Sciucca run kings into the aces of the chip leader to bust in fourth.
"Korrinho" now held over 50 million of the 78 million in play, but the two short stacks refused to roll over as three-handed play lasted for over an hour before "j_peso4" shoved with ace-ten and was called by Dattani's ace-jack.
That could have given ammunition for Dattani to mount a heads-up come back, starting play with 22 million to "Korrinho"'s 56 million, but a short while later Dattani picked up tens and shoved into his opponent's ace-king. A king on the turn sent all the chips to "Korrinho" securing him victory and the title of the latest SCOOP champion.
