Apostol Finds A Double

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

The action was complete when PokerNews made it to the table. Tyson Apostol was all-in with 31,500 in front of him as Geramy Dickerson was considering the call. The board was complete for all to see.

Board: {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}

After a hearing the exact count and really weighing the decision with his remaining stack, Dickerson tossed in the calling chips. Apostol was very quick to turn over his hand.

Apostol: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

"I made the flush." Apostol said with a controlled excitement to prevent offending Dickerson who put many of his chips at risk. Apostol pulled in the chips and mentioned how much bigger the pot could have been if he hadn't just lost so many chips before.

Mesina Survives Against Apostol

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded around to Survivor Cast Member and Season Winner, Tyson Apostol on the button. Tyson flatted and after the small blind folded, Armando Mesina in the big blind made a raise to 10,000. Apostol made the call and we were heads-up to the flop.

Flop: {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Mesina was not willing to give Apostol control and continued with a bet of 15,000. Apostol took only 2-3 seconds before he counted out calling chips and tossed them forward.

Turn: {7-Hearts}

Mesina again opened the action with a bet of 25,000 this time. Apostol learned how to survive during his 39 day stint in Survivor: Blood vs Water and used those talents to keep his stack alive in this event...unfortunately that meant a fold during this hand.

Mesina pulled in a very healthy pot to grow his already impressive stack.
