Day 1B of The RGPS Jamul Main Event Begins at 11:00

Not all of the 119 entrants yesterday were able to join the final 15 players, but those who didn’t will have ample opportunity today as the second of the three flights begins at 11:00 AM. Any and all players in the San Diego area will be looking to snag a piece of that $150,000 prize pool guarantee.

Leading the way is Fernando Santiago, who ended his day with 639,000. Securing his second ever RGPS cash, it was last year at Jamul Casino where Santiago won his first trophy with the Helix Poker Series. He returns to Jamul with a vengeance as he looks to utilize his massive stack to propel him to his first ring. Sitting in second holding 472,000 is Cody Blades who has already made two final tables this week at the series. Sitting in third place is the only former champion to advance, Nova Baghdasarian sits with 396,000 in third.

Players will sit down with 30,000 in starting chips and blinds will escalate once every 30 minutes. Registration will be unlimited and open until the beginning of Level 9. After that, play will continue until just 12.5% of the field rounded up remains. Those who do not find a bag in tonight’s flight will have one more chance tonight beginning at 6:00.
