The final flight of the $600 RunGood Poker Series Main Event has come to a conclusion as the final flight drew out 249 to bring the overall tally to 671. A total of 83 players will be guaranteed a piece of the $342,210 prize pool, and one person will receive the ring as well as a free seat to the Thunder Valley Invitational and a significant amount of NAPT Golden Player of the Series Points. $890 will be the minimum cash, while $62,522 will be awarded to first place.

The biggest stack at night’s end was Daniel Lowery, who acquired 486,000 chips. Lowery is not only one of the most decorated players on Rungood but also one of the most decorated tournament grinders of all time, with $3,527,226 in lifetime earnings, 9 RGPS titles, and 15 WSOPC rings. A win here would not only break the tie he holds with Brian Winter for all-time RGPS titles, but it would also move him a spot up on the all-time RGPS money list. With his massive stack and tournament experience, he will be a force to be reckoned with tomorrow.

Rounding out the top three podium at night’s end were RGPS Tunica Main Event Final tablist Chase Turner (434,000) and Houston White (417,000). Both have ample experience running deep in Main Events in Tunica, and they are each looking to take down this massive tournament. Others that were able to snag up bags included many friendly faces like WSOP bracelet winner Kyle Cartwright (376,000), Kevin Gray (356,000), Jess Roberts (334,000), Sanh Vuong (268,000), Mackenzie Williams (143,000), and Brodie Harris (89,000). Harris and Roberts are both coming off of runner-up finishes in ring events this week and will be looking to cap off their already stellar weeks with a chance for a ring here.

Jess Roberts
Jess Roberts and Brodie Harris are both coming off of runner-up finishes from earlier in the week and will be looking to use that momentum into the Main Event.

Fortune was not kind to any of the players in the top 5 for the NAPT Golden Player of the Series race, as they didn't find any bags to collect the massive points that would be awarded to the top spots in the tournament. Michael Johns, Preston McEwen, Kevin Visentin, Joshua Turner, and Charles Clubb are all going to have to acquire points in other ways, but Yekaterina Lukina (131,000) is the player highest up the leaderboard who can potentially overtake depending on how the points finish out. Others who failed to bag included Mark Davis, Donovan Dean, and Greg Raymer. They must look to another RGPS Main Event to claim a title.

Play ended with 5:45 left in Level 14, with blinds at 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante in the first flight. This will be the level that players return to tomorrow, Sunday, September 8th. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all updates regarding the RunGood Poker Series Main Event.
