Steven Spencer Wins First RGPS Ring in Event #1: $250 Seniors Event ($9,317)
The Rungood Poker Series at Horseshoe Tunica kicked off the week with the $250 Seniors tournament on the morning of Tuesday, September 3rd. A total of 200 entrants occupied the poker room, creating a prizepool of $40,000 to be divided up between the final 25 players.
As the dust settled Steven Spencer took home his first RGPS ring in the seniors event. Spencer is no stranger to tournament success here in Tunica as five of his seven recorded cashes have come from this casino, though this is his first RGPS cash.
Spencer found himself in very tumultuous waters at the final table with multiple clashes with second place finisher Daniel Dohner. It left him as the shortest stack three-handed but with timing, patience, and luck he managed to spin it back to the chip lead heads up and took down his second biggest lifetime score for $9,317.
