Chris Record Takes Down Seniors Event For First RGPS Ring
The Rungood Poker Series kicked off on Tuesday, September 24 at 10:00 am with the $250 Seniors Event. The first ring event of the series pulled out a total of 211 entrants and created a prizepool of $44,200 to be divided between 28 players.
As the tournament winded to a close, the final table of nine was set and the action continued with many lead changes and tournament defining pots. The start of final table chip leader Troy Courson lost a massive pot to Chris Record to leave Record with massive lead with five players left.
Shortly after that, Greg Raymer was eliminated in fifth place by Mario Webster and after that some talks ensued between the remaining four players. Eventually a deal was reached that saw Record taking home the lionshare of the money in play and his first RGPS ring. Record dedicated his ring to his father who passed away almost a year ago and he will be here the whole week playing the remainder of the events.
