Boston Rob is Ring Chasing as 44 Players Return for the Final Day of the RGPS Main Event in San Diego
After three Day 1 flights over two days, the $600 Main Event for the RunGood Poker Series is set to conclude. A total of 339 entrants generated a prize pool of $176,280, with 44 players advancing to Day 2, each guaranteed a minimum cash of $900. However, all eyes will be on the top prize of $36,750. Leading the field into the final day is Thomas Carlin, who bagged an impressive 684,000 on Day 1a.

Day 1a attracted 100 entrants, and Carlin has held the chip lead since bagging 684,000 early in the tournament.
Day 1b, the largest of the three flights, saw 156 entrants. Ron Segni (564,000) emerged as the chip leader after a massive pot on the final hand of the day, where he burst the money bubble with pocket jacks, holding off two overcards and a nut flush draw. Rob Mariano (427,000), known from reality TV, also made it to Day 2 and will start in fifth place.
The final flight, Day 1c, had 83 entrants. Felipe Koury ended the night as the chip leader and will begin Day 2 in third place.
Play will resume at 12:00 p.m. local time with 24 minutes remaining in Level 15, with blinds at 4,000/8,000 and an 8,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 40 minutes in length for the duration of Day 2 through to the tournament's conclusion.
In addition to the prize money offered at this week's events, there is a series-long leaderboard. The top three finishers on the leaderboard will receive entry into the $5,000,000 ClubWPT Gold Freeroll Invitational at Wynn Las Vegas from December 13-15, along with a $1,500 travel stipend.
