Arturo Murillo Wins RGPS Reno PLO for First Ring
The fifth event of the RGPS Reno stop was the sole non-nlh event in the series. The $300 PLO event mustered together 35 players to create a prize pool of $8,400 which only five players secured a piece of.
The three-handed battle of the tournament lasted a good three hours, but eventually a heads up match was reached between Joey Gargiulo and Arturo Murillo. Gargiulo had gotten heads up earlier in the series and took home his third RGPS ring, but his fourth will have to wait as Murillo took home the title.
Murillo had been close to an RGPS ring before as he came in third place in the $1,000 RunGood to the moon event for $32,395 which was his career best score. Since they he acquired a slew of cashes in other events across the country, but he finally took down his first RGPS ring for a total of $3,445. He now has an invitation to the $300 Dream Seat Invitiational.
