Zachary Smith Eliminated in 7th Place ($11,952)

Level 24 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Zachary Smith
Zachary Smith

After an open from James Traber, Zachary Smith ripped his entire stack into the middle, all 2,600,000, and Traber announced a call, putting himself at risk.

James Traber: 1010
Zachary Smith: A10

Smith would need to hit an ace in this huge pot, but the runout of 4K672 did not do it and all but 15,000 of his chips were shipped over to Traber.

Smith was then forced all-in from the small blind the very next hand with ten-six versus the pocket queens of Todd Tucker, but failed to survive and was sent out in seventh place.

Todd Nichols: A10
Duster Ellis: AA

Nichols needed a lot of help from the board to stay alive, but the runout of Q96Q3 did not do it and he was sent to the exit in eighth place.

Starting with this weekend's stop in Tulsa, the RunGood Poker Series is taking Destination RunGood on the road to 11 different stops throughout the first half of 2024.

“Destination RunGood is more than just a theme; it's an invitation for players to experience poker as a way to explore the country,” said RGPS CEO Tana Karn. “We've carefully curated the Spring Season to deliver excitement, camaraderie, and unparalleled competition."

After Tulsa wraps up, players can join the tour in San Diego in February before they move on to one of its oldest stops in Tunica. From Tunica it's on to Jacksonville, where the tour debuted last year, and then regular stops in Joplin and Council Bluffs before it returns to Reno and St. Louis in late April.

The tour's final swing will take it to Bay Area-favorite Graton Casino and then Kansas City before the Season Finale at Thunder Valley in July.

Key Highlights of the 2024 Spring Season:

  • Eleven Tour Stops Nationwide: The RGPS tour will span across eleven locations, bringing the thrill of tournament poker to cities from the East Coast to the West. Players can look forward to a top-notch experience with unforgettable moments.
  • Newly Designed Event Rings: In a nod to the significance of achievement, RunGood has completed newly designed Destination RunGood rings that will be awarded to event winners at each tour stop. These rings symbolize excellence and the competitive spirit that sets the RunGood Poker Series apart.
  • Dream Seat Invitational by PokerGO: Back by popular demand, the Dream Seat Invitational by PokerGO will return for the 2024 season. This exclusive event invites 2024 ring winners from all over to participate for a seat to represent the best of the best of the tour at the PGT Championship Freeroll at the PokerGO Studio.

Joshua Brower opened to 200,000 from the button and Zachary Smith called from the small blind. Duster Ellis then three-bet jammed for 725,000 and Brower re-shoved for more, producing a fold from Smith.

Ellis fipped over KK while Brower tabled an inferior holding of QQ. The board ran out all low cards for Ellis to scoop the pot for a double to 1,775,000.

William McCracken Eliminated in 9th Place ($7,382)

Level 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
William McCracken
William McCracken

William McCracken opened to 120,000 from the button and David McFeely defended from the blind to see a flop of 496. The action then went check-check and they went to the turn 9. McFeely checked, McCracken bet 125,000, McFeely check-raised to 325,000, and McCracken called.

On the river Q, McFeely checked and McCracken moved all in for around 1,500,000. McFeely then went deep into the tank. After around a minute, he announced a call and tossed out a chip.

McCracken shook his head and tabled K10 for nines with king-high, while McFeely proudly rolled over 67 for two pair, sixes and nines, as the table lost their minds.

"Nice call," McCracken admitted, as the huge pot was pushed over to McFeely and he made his way to the payout desk in ninth place.
