Platt Gives Anthony a Swift Exit; Degroot Lays Waste to White
Level 16
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Anthony Swift moved all in preflop for around 40,000 and was called by Jeff Platt and Alexander White to put him at risk.
Platt and White then checked through to the river 2♠8♠5♦10♣J♣ where Platt announced a bet of 27,000. White thought about it for a good while but eventually found a fold.
Platt then tabled K♣J♠ for a rivered pair of jacks.
"Wow, that is so sick!" Swift sighed and shook his head as he tabled J♦9♦ for a missed straight draw and an inferior jack. Platt was pushed the pot to bring his stack to 400,000 while Swift made his exit.
Ironically, White moved all in the very next hand with K♥J♦ himself but could not improve against the 4♣4♠ of Michael Degroot and he too was sent to the rail.
