Mims Cracks Waugman's Aces

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

John Duel opened to 1,000 from the cutoff and was then three-bet to 2,200 from Scott Waugman on the button. Marcus Mims made the call from the big blind and Duel decided to come along as well to see the flop of K88.

All three players decided to check and they went to the turn Q, which saw Mims lead for 3,000 and get quickly called by his two opponents.

On the river 5, Mims fired again for 5,000 which got a fold from Duel and a call from Waugman.

Mims then confidently rolled over A8 for trip eights while Waugman shook his head and tabled AA that were no good.

"I knew there was an eight out there somewhere, I folded king-queen!" Duel claimed as Mims raked in the pot.
