Andrew Greenawalt Wins RGPS Reno Event #4: $300 Deepstack ($7,135)
The Rungood Poker Series has made its return to The Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno, Nevada. This iteration of the series sees a total of nine ring events running from April 23rd-28th.
The second biggest event of the whole stop is the RGPS Deepstack, which was broken up into two flights of registration. The $30k guarantee was hit as 161 entrants came out to create a prizepool of $38,640. A total of 19 players came into Day 2 including Daniel “Donk” Hughes (14th-$790), and Tyler Patterson (8th-$1,210).
James Colson, Joshua Gibbs, and Andrew Greenawalt became the final three players of the tournament and a deal was made, ensuring that each one of them would take home $7,135 for their efforts while continuing to play for the title.
Last year Greenawalt had finished in fourth place in this event for $2,521, just outside of a podium finish. This year he bettered it by making his third RGPS cash his first ring. The San Diego resident collects his second biggest live cash, behind his recent WSOPc victory.
Greenawalt becomes the fourth player this stop to win his seat to the Dream Seat Invitational at Thunder Valley in November.
