Wagner Bags Lead in Day 1b; Patterson and Gavin-Mather Advance
The second flight of the Rungood Poker Series Graton has come to its conclusion. A total of 135 entrants tried to make their mark in this flight, bringing the total number of players to 341 who have attempted to secure a piece of the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. When the dust settled, just 24 made it through to return on Sunday, May 12th.
Leading the way is Levi Wagner, who bagged 640,000. Wagner shot up the counts throughout the day, eliminating players like Bob Mather and Mitchell Collins. With just one prior cash on his Hendon Mob, the tournament newcomer now holds the biggest stack of any of the players left of either flight. He looks to make his first RGPS cash a big one.

Also finding a bag were RGPS Main Event champion Tyler Patterson (103,000), RGPS ring winner Lexy Gavin-Mather (101,000), and Joe Nguyen (96,000) who took home second place in last year’s edition of the event.
Not all could find fortune today. Two-time RGPS ring winner John Koo couldn’t find enough momentum, joining the rail with Terrance Reid, Jules Cornelius, and Papa Karn. These players will have ample opportunity to fire in tonight or tomorrow’s flights.
Play ended with 25:13, left on the clock in Level 16 with blinds at 5,000/10,000 and a 10,000 big blind ante in Day 1a. The players will return at this level unless a subsequent flight ends earlier than this one.
