Moradi Pulls it Off on Scary Board
Iman Alsaden opened to 110,000 under-the-gun and was called by Jason Brin in the cutoff and Saied Moradi in the small blind.
The flop came out K♠Q♦A♠ and Alsaden continued for 225,000 after a check from Moradi. Brin was in the tank for a brief stint before deciding to let it go but Moradi decided to come along.
On the turn, both players went check-check and went straight to the river 9♦.
Moradi then moved all in for over 3,000,000, vastly covering Alsaden's stack of 525,000, and sent her into the tank.
After several long and painful minutes, Alsaden slid her cards into the muck to award the large pot to Moradi.
"I don't even want to see it," Alsaden sighed, but Moradi went ahead and showed her the A♥2♥ for just a pair of aces.
"I folded a set of kings there, well-played sir." Alsaden tapped the table, "I was trying to find a call there so bad, if I had the king of diamonds I was snap-calling," she shook her head as the dealer dealt out the next hand.
