The RGPS Road Trip Council Bluffs $700 Main Event Kicks Off at 6 pm
For the second time this year, The RunGood Poker Series has returned to The Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The series sees a total of 12 events over the course of a week, with the crowning jewel being the $700 Main Event with a $200,000 guaranteed prizepool beginning today at 6 pm.
Last time, it was Joshua Kopp who defeated a stacked final table for a career best score of $68,799. The total field was 605 strong and the final table saw the likes of players like Angela Jordison, Renato Spahiu, and Matt Morfitt.

This week has seen a mix of local regulars and RGPS ambassadors occupying the tables in the tournaments. Ben Ludlow, Kasey Mills, Ashley “PokerFaceAsh” Frank, Brian Winter, Jon Swift, and WSOP bracelet winner Blair Hinkle are among the faces seen around the casino. Each one of them is looking to collect some piece of RGPS jewelry to add to their already decorated resumes.
Players will start the tournament with 30,000 chips. Blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante, with levels lasting 30 minutes. A break will occur after every four levels. Registration will close at the beginning of level 9 and play will complete when just 12.5% of the field remains.
