It's time for Day 2 of the 2022 RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Contenders Tour Tunica $575 Main Event.

Three starting flights have played to their conclusion over the last two days, with 150 players set to return Sunday at noon to play down to a winner from the 602 entries generated throughout the weekend. A grand total of $301,000 is up for grabs, which will be paid to the top 63 places with $66,849 going to the eventual champion.

Day 1c chip leader Kenny Dang (352,500) comes into Day 2 with the chip lead, finishing with the overall chip lead in the tournament's final flight roughly ten hours prior to play resuming. Rounding out the top five behind him are Day 1b chip leader Richard Bolden (291,500), Barry Schultz (280,000, Thomas Canter (246,000), and ClubGG Qualifier Hao Zhu (225,500).

Several RunGood Ambassadors also advanced to Day 2 and will be sure to follow: Julie Cornelius (187,500), Preston McEwen (163,000), Michael Sanders (102,000), and Daniel Lowery (56,500). Other notables to enter the day include Papa Karn (185,000), Kyle Cartwright (165,500), BJ McBrayer (145,500), and 2019 RGPS Tunica Main Event Champion Tiffany Keathley (117,500).

Play will resume at the start of Level 13 (1,500/3,000/3,000) with levels increasing to 40 minutes for all of Day 2. As mentioned, the top 63 places will make it into the money, meaning more than half of the returning field will walk away emptyhanded this afternoon. A first-level payout wll be good for $1,023 with payouts increasing every nine eliminations until the final two tables are reached. From there, every three spots will see a pay jump until the final table of nine is reached, and at that time all players will be guaranteed at least $6,171.
