Day 1c of the RunGood Poker Series $575 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event $200,000 GTD from the Thunder Valley Casino Resort starts at 11 a.m. today.
Today marks the final starting flight for the RunGood Poker Series $575 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event today at 11 a.m. with a $200,000 guarantee from the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Northern California.
The defending champion of this event is Sasha Sabbaghian. He took home $40,485 when the RGPS last stopped by Thunder Valley in September of 2021.
The main event is one of six events of this series. There is also a $300 H.O.R.S.E. event beginning Sunday, Jan 9 at noon and at 4 p.m. there is a $240 $20,000 GTD RunGood Ring Finale.
The RGPS Main Event is underway, but champions have already been crowned in some of the other events from this series.
Daniel “DJ” Hughes took down Event #1: $135 Ambassador Bomb Pot Bounty for $5,655. He defeated a field of 250 players to kick off the series.
Meanwhile, in Event #2: $255 RunGood Fifty Five $55,000 GTD, it was Forrest Kollar who defeated a field of 437 players to take down the top prize of $18,555.
In Event #3: $300 PLO, it was Keith Hudson claiming victory for $5,000 after conquering a field of 75 players.
For the main, players will start with 25,000 in chips and the blinds will begin at 100/100 with 30-minute levels.
There will be 15-minute breaks after every four levels of play and registration will be open until the start of Level 9. There is one re-entry per flight and players may forfeit their stack at the end of Level 8 and re-enter for $575. Play will end when there is 12.5% of the field left and they will be in the money.
Day 1a and Day 1b saw a combined 435 entries with 55 players advancing to Day 2.
