Katip Grabs Chip Lead With Elimination of Tryba

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Chris Tryba raised to 6,500 under the gun and was met with no less than four callers, including Scott Katip in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} and after Katip checked, Tryba continued for 20,000.

A player in early position called, and the action then folded back to Katip, who moved all in.

Tryba called for approximately 130,000 to put himself at risk. The early position player folded, leaving Katip to try to take out Tryba.

Chris Tryba: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Scott Katip: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Katip's flopped set had Tryba in dire straits, and the {8-Clubs}{9-Spades} runout couldn't save the WSOP bracelet winner, as the huge pot was pushed to Katip, whose stack is now nearing 500,000.
