Three Players Busted

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Michael Sanders
Michael Sanders

Issac "Rungood" Tucker shoved over a button raise in the small blind with {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} but Vic Harris woke up with kings behind him and busted him when Tucker did not improve.

At the other table, Josh Sandoval lost the majority of his stack in a race with Justin Gardenhire, who flopped a set with nines against {a-}{j-}. We didn't see how he lost the remainder of his chips.

Finally, Michael Sanders pushed all in with {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for 189,000. Gil George reraised all in with {a-}{q-}, and Kirk Smith called off his stack in the big blind with {q-}{q-}. The flop came {2-}{3-}{4-}, and Sanders hit the {5-Spades} on the turn to make a six-high straight. That also gave George a wheel for the side pot, eliminating Smith.

Bunch Out; Sanders Doubles

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Eric Bunch
Eric Bunch

Eric Bunch defended his big blind from a middle-position raise to 60,000 from Cherie Baber. The flop came {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Bunch pushed all in. Baber counted down here stack and announced a call.

Baber: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Bunch: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Bunch needed a jack or a queen to take the whole pot, but the turn was a {k-Diamonds} and the river an {a-Hearts}. He was left with 14,000 after sending 127,000 to Baber and he busted out next hand.

At the other table, Michael Sanders doubled through Rodney Spriggs with {a-}{k-} against {a-}{9-} all in preflop.

Abernathy Gets Some Back

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Sam Abernathy opened to 60,000 under the gun, and Ira Lampley made it 210,000 two spots later. Action folded back to Abernathy, who called. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}, and Abernathy checked. Lampley checked back. Abernathy slid 190,000 in on the {10-Clubs} turn, and Lampley shook his head.

"Nice flop," he said, winging his cards to the muck.

Abernathy Eliminates Kirk

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Tripp Kirk
Tripp Kirk

Sam Abernathy opened for 40,000 and called the shove of Tripp Kirk, who had about 150,000.

Kirk: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Abernathy: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Kirk's live cards paired up when {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flopped but he still had lots to fade since Abernathy picked up a club draw. The {5-Diamonds} turn was a brick but Abernathy found the {a-Diamonds} on the river to eliminate Kirk.

Sanders Doubles Through Spriggs

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Rodney Spriggs opened to 46,000 in the cutoff, and Michael Sanders jammed for 116,000 more on the button. Spriggs tanked about a minutes and called.

Spriggs: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Sanders: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

"It's getting there," Spriggs said confidently. "Jacks have been hot."

Instead, he took the lead with tens as {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} hit the felt. However, the turn and river were both eights, and Sanders survived.

"That's not the way I thought we'd get it," Sanders said.

Bunch Sends Heaps to Abernathy

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Sam Abernathy
Sam Abernathy

In a hand that started at the previous level, Sam Abernathy bet 80,000 in the cutoff on a {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop, and Eric Bunch check-raised to 205,000 from middle position. Abernathy called, and the turn was a {3-Hearts}. Bunch slid forward 300,000. After about a minute, Abernathy dropped a few chips in and told the dealer she was all in. Bunch snap-folded, sending the chip lead two seats to his left.
