Nimmo Doubles Through Moradi

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Joel Nimmo opened for 100,000 and Saied Moradi reraised to 350,000. It was folded back to Nimmo who quickly announced that he was all in.

Moradi stood and muttered "I can't keep folding. I call" as he turned over {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. He shook his head in disgust after seeing he was dominated by Nimmo and his {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

The flop changed his demeanor though as it came {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

"Ship it now," he whispered as the dealer put out the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

"Ship it now," he repeated.

The dealer put out the river card. It was the {K-Diamonds}. "Oooohhhh," groaned Moradi.

"I told you all I was the luckiest donkey in poker," smiled Nimmo who doubled up to 1,600,000 in chips.

Tepen Pays Off Moradi's Quads

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

We got to the table with approximately 400,000 in the pot and the board complete and showing {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Saied Moradi led out with an overbet of 500,000 and Tepen thought for a moment and then sighed while announcing a call.

Moradi turned over {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for quad jacks and Tepen quickly mucked his hand.

"Nice hand," he said, a frustrated tone in his voice.

"Thank you," said Moradi, his hands shaking somewhat as he stacked his chips.

Jeremy Gilmore - 6th place
Jeremy Gilmore - 6th place

It was folded to Jeremy Gilmore in the small blind and he moved all in for 530,000 total. Matt Ellis woke up with {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and made the easy call. Gilmore had {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and paired up on the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop but no help arrived on the {5-Clubs} turn or {10-Diamonds} river and he was eliminated in sixth place for $7,746.

Tepen Catches Nimmo Bluffing

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

We picked up the action with a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Ryan Tepen checked it over to Joel Nimmo who bet 175,000. Tepen made the call and the dealer put out the {4-Hearts} on the turn. Both players checked.

The river was the {Q-Clubs} and Tepen checked again. Nimmo bet 200,000 and Tepen snap-called. Nimmo showed a complete bluff with {10-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Tepen turned over {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for sixes and fours.

Nimmo Gets Value

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

We arrived to the table with Joel Nimmo having checked the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} turn and Saied Moradi betting 75,000. Nimmo check-raised to 175,000 and was called by Moradi.

The river was the {7-Clubs} and Nimmo led out for 250,000. Moradi didn't take much time before calling. Nimmo turned over {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} for kings full of sevens and Moradi flashed a seven before sliding his cards to the dealer.

Nimmo Spikes River Ace to Double Through Moradi

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Saied Moradi opened in early position to 80,000 and it was folded to Joel Nimmo in the big blind who moved all in for 380,000 total. He was snap-called by Moradi. Nimmo turned over {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and would need some help as Moradi had {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The flop came {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Moradi was still in the lead. Nimmo paired up on the {J-Diamonds} turn and had five outs to stay alive. He would hit one of those outs on the {A-Diamonds} river, a card that caused Moradi to fling his hand into the air in disgust while Nimmo let out a big sigh of relief as he evaded elimination.

Terry Presley Eliminated in 7th Place ($6,424)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Terry Presley - 7th place
Terry Presley - 7th place

Saied Moradi opened for 80,000 and Terry Presley moved in for slightly more than 500,000 in chips. It was folded back to Moradi who sighed and said "can't fold every da** hand. Hope you have a small pair."

He then made the call and turned over {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} after Presley showed his {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Moradi would pair up on the {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. Presley stood up, expecting elimination, but added some outs on the {7-Diamonds} turn. No nine or eight came on the river though as it was the {6-Hearts} and Presley was eliminated in seventh place for $6,424. Moradi became the first player above two million chips with that pot as he moved to 2,150,000.
