Dan Thomas Eliminated in 14th Place ($3,242)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Dan Thomas - 14th Place
Dan Thomas - 14th Place

Ryan Phan opened for 50,000 from the button only to have a short-stacked Dan Thomas three-bet all in for 135,000 from the small blind. Jim Devaney then four-bet all in over the top for right around 500,000, and that inspired Phan to fold.

Devaney: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Thomas: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

It was a flip, and all Thomas needed to do to more than double was hold. That proved easier said than done though as the {4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop hit Devaney. Neither the {10-Hearts} turn nor {J-Hearts} river helped Thomas, and he hit the rail in 14th place.

Jamie Kerstetter Eliminated in 15th Place ($3,242)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jamie Kerstetter - 15th Place
Jamie Kerstetter - 15th Place

After being crippled down to 20,000 by Ryan Phan, RunGood Ambassador Jamie Kerstetter stuck to her guns and managed to work it back up to 250,000. A comeback looked like it could be in the cards, but any hope of that happening just came crashing down.

It happened when Kerstetter got her chips all in preflop against Adam Dinsmore.

Kerstetter: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Dinsmore: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Kerstetter had a kicker issue, and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}. Kerstetter smiled, and then took her leave in 15th place. Perhaps there is some small consolation in the fact that she managed to ladder up a rung.

Fred Walker Eliminated in 16th Place ($2,438)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante
Fred Walker - 16th Place
Fred Walker - 16th Place

A mistake may have just cost Fred Walker his tournament life.

The hand began innocently enough with James Hall opening for 35,000. Walker then three-bet all in for 110,000, but the problem was he acted out of turn. Mike Lang still needed to act, and as he told us after the hand, he had planned to move all in. Instead, he just called, which meant Walker's raise stood. Hall ended up folding, and then Lang snap-called.

Lang: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Walker: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop didn't help Walker, but the {6-Diamonds} turn did give him a flush draw. Unfortunately for him, it didn't come in as the {4-Clubs} blanked on the river. Walker will take home $2,438 for his 16th-place finish.

Nick Weaver Eliminated in 17th Place ($2,438)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante
Nick Weaver - 17th Place
Nick Weaver - 17th Place

Action folded to a short-stacked Nick Weaver in the cutoff and he shoved for his last 81,000. Ryan Phan then isolated with an all-in three bet from the button and both blinds got out of the way.

Weaver: {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Phan: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Weaver was in a bad spot, and it got even worse when the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop hit Phan big. The {6-Clubs} turn left Weaver drawing dead, and after the {7-Hearts} completed the board on the river, he made his way to the payout desk to collect $2,438.

Scott Dasovic Eliminated in 18th Place ($2,438)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante
Scott Dasovic - 18th Place
Scott Dasovic - 18th Place

Paul Ewen opened for 35,000 under the gun and Scott Dasovic defended his big blind. When the flop came down {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Dasovic led out for 60,000, Ewen raised to 160,000, and Dasovic three-bet jammed for roughly 353,000. Ewen, who didn't have much more than that, made the call and Dasovic discovered he picked a bad spot.

Dasovic: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Ewen: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Dasovic was dominated, and that didn't even take into account Ewen's flush draw, which hit on the {2-Hearts} turn. The meaningless {5-Clubs} was put out on the river for good measure, and a disappointed Dasovic headed to the payout desk to collect $2,438 for his 18th-place finish.

Rockvam and Hebda Eliminated in Quick Succession

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante
Joe Hebda
Joe Hebda

After David Rockvam exited in 20th place, Day 1b chip leader and RunGood Ambassador Joe Hebda followed him out the door in 19th.

It happened when action folded to Hebda on the button and he open-jammed for nearly 290,000. The small blind folded, but chip leader James Hall looked down at a big hand in the big and made the call.

Hebda: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Hall: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Hebda picked the wrong spot to shove, and he paid the ultimate price after the {9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs} board failed to deliver salvation. Hebda will take home $2,011 for his 19th-place finish while the final 18 players, who are guaranteed at least $2,438, will now breakdown into two tables.

Nasty Turn Cripples Kerstetter

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante

We picked up the action with 175,000 or so already in the pot and a flop of {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Local player Ryan Phan moved all in from the big blind for a little over 200K, and RunGood Ambassador Jamie Kerstetter, who barely had him covered, thought long and hard before calling from the button.

Kerstetter: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}
Phan: {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}

It was a good call by Kerstetter, but she was punished nonetheless as the dealer burned and turned the {7-Hearts}. Phan spiked trips and a disgusted Kerstetter sent over the vast majority of her chips after the {6-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Kerstetter was left with around 20,000 after the hand and managed to double it shortly thereafter.
