Conrad Pays Off Sanders

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 1,000 ante

We found Michael Sanders with 77,000 in front of him out of the blinds on a board of {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. Fellow RunGood pro Chris Conrad tanked awhile before making the call, and Sanders showed {3-}{3-} for a set.

The next hand, Ricky Lomon busted out.

"If You Have Me, You Have Me"

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Bernard Lee
Bernard Lee

Terry Karn limped in and then called 16,500 from Bernard Lee. The flop came {4-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and Karn shoved all in.

"Wow," Lee said, pushing up his glasses. "Alright, if you have me, you have me...I call."

Lee: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Karn: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"Nice hand, sir," Lee said.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds}, meaning Lee had more chances to chop, but a {9-Clubs} river did him no favors.

Chris Battaglia and JW Lorett busted out at other tables.

Ben Reason opened for 10,000 in middle position and was called by Terry Karn on his left. In the cutoff, Bernard Lee pushed for 48,500. Reason reshoved after the other players folded, and Karn laid down.

Reason: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Lee: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The board was clean for Lee: {5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

At another table, Jason Joerling was the first to bust, followed by Matthew Magee.

Welcome to Day 2 of RunGoodGear.com Downstream Casino

Michael Sanders
Michael Sanders

After two grueling Day 1 flights, a small Day 2 field of just 26 has returned to an event room at the Downstream Casino outside Joplin, Mo., for RunGoodGear.com's third tournament of the year.

Terry Presley and Ben Reason bagged identical stacks of 277,500 on their respective Day 1s, so they are the men to catch as the cards prepare to fly at 11 a.m. Other contenders include Issac Tucker, Ryan Tepen, Michael Sanders, David Murff, Chris Conrad, and Bernard Lee, though Lee is among the shortest stacks.

As Day 1a was cut down to 10 percent of its field with 30 minutes left on the clock in Level 15 (2,000/4,000/500), that's where the tournament will begin on Day 2. Whoever conquers his or her remaining opponents today will take home more than $36,000.
