Lindner Tangles With Hale

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Chris Lindner
Chris Lindner

Chris Lindner, who finished runner-up in the $440 Mini Main Event, bet 3,500 from under the gun facing a {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} board. Kevin Hale scanned the 6,800 already in the pot, then called.

Lindner gathered his remaining 9,200 in chips up into a single column after the {5-Diamonds} hit the river, but eventually checked. Hale bet 4,000, and Lindner folded.

Cha Busts Big Blind, Brings in Bounty

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

For the second hand in a row, Andrew Cha went to work adding to his stack.

This time, a $100 bounty ended up going Cha's way as well. Cha opened to 700 on the small blind, the big blind went all in for 16,200, and Cha called.

Big Blind: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Andrew Cha: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Board: {10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Cha had the opponent dominated preflop, and the straight coming in on the turn clinched the bustout.

Cha Chips Up

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

An early position player opened to 700, and got four callers, including Jason Somerville on the button, and Andrew Cha on the big blind.

Action checked to the early position player, who put out a 1,5000 bet on the {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop. That bet prompted one fold, a call from Somerville, and another fold from the small blind.

Cha then put in a check-raise to 6,500, which shit down further action, Cha showed {2-}{2-} as he collected the pot.

Fenton's Bounty Safe For Now

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
DJ Fenton
DJ Fenton

A player raised to 800 from middle position, and DJ Fenton three-bet shoved for 3,600 from the hijack. The small blind four-bet shoved for 8,000, and the middle position player folded.

DJ Fenton: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Fenton's prospects improved on the {5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, as he flopped the nut flush draw to take a few of his opponent's outs away. The {6-Spades} turn flipped the script a bit, as now the small blind had a spade flush draw of his own. The {j-Clubs} river gave Fenton the nuts, and he shipped the double.

Moneymaker Gets to Work Immediately

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Chris Moneymaker at Run It Up Reno VIII
Chris Moneymaker at Run It Up Reno VIII

2003 WSOP Main Event Champ Chris Moneymaker, in town for tomorrow's $175 Moneymaker Tour Event with a PokerStars Platinum Pass added, was recently caught in action here in today's $235 Black Chip Bounty event.

Moneymaker and an opponent in the hijack invested 3,500 each on the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop, and the {4-Clubs} fell on the turn.

"You have 10,000 left?" Moneymaker asked his opponent, and after confirming, Moneymaker jammed his last 11,500 from the big blind. The hijack tanked for a while, then folded, and Moneymaker flashed the {q-Hearts} before pulling in the pot.

Defending Champ McCormick Doyle's Skrovan

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Don McCormick
Don McCormick

Don McCormick, who won this event at Run It Up Reno VIII in April, limped in from middle position, and John Skrovan raised to 800 from the hijack. The big blind called, as did McCormick.

Action checked through the {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop, and the {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn. The big blind checked, and McCormick bet 1,500. Only Skrovan called.

Both players checked the {5-Hearts} river, and Skrovan tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. McCormick had that beat with his {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, and he said, "Good flop, great turn, terrible river!" as he raked in the pot.

Ream Raking in the Chips

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Dalton Ream is on a roll, picking up a trio of consecutive pots, one of which brought in a $100 bounty.

The first and biggest of the three hands came in a three-way pot. With {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} on the board, a player in the big blind went all in for 13,500, Ream reshoved for 24,500 from the cutoff, and Nick Kiley made a reluctant-looking fold from the button.

Big Blind: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Dalton Ream: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The turn came {k-Clubs}, but Ream found the out he was looking for on the river as the {6-Spades} came in, completing the straight and sending a bounty Ream's way.

Ream added another 6,000 to the stack by winning the next two hands as well, as he's off to a great start as Level 3 winds down.
