Rob Hamilton is crushing this tournament so far, shooting all the way up to 76,000. On Twitter, tablemate Donnie Peters joked that "it's not from playing well."
At another table, Sajid Zaidi's quest for another trophy here at Run It Up Reno seems to be going well early. He just busted Emily Johnson with against as neither player improved on the community cards.
Among the players sitting in and anteing up: Sajid Zaidi, who is trying to claim a second straight late-night trophy after winning the turbo last night.
It's one of the latest-starting tournaments on the schedule, because it will more than likely be a quick one as the structure it set up specifically to encourage action. It's time for the $85 Big Antes event here at Run It Up Reno.
Cards will be in the air in moments for a tournament that features antes beginning in Level 2 (50/100). Unlike other tournaments, this one will see players anteing up an amount that's half of the small blind in every level. That means bloated preflop pots, which means players will be mixing it up, lest they see their stacks dwindle with the quickness.
Players will begin with 10,000 in chips, and they may reenter through the first eight levels. All levels will be 15 minutes long until the final table, when they bump up to 20 minutes. Action has already begun.
