Flush for Cybulski

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante

Brent Harrington opened to 800 from middle position and both Edward Cybulski and Nicholas Kanowsky called from the button and big blind respectively.

Kanowsky led out for 1,200 on the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop and Harrington called before Cybulski moved all in for 3,725. Kanowsky three-bet to 9,200 total and Harrington folded.

Kanowsky: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Cybulski: {8-Spades}{6-Spades}

The dealer delivered the {K-Spades} on the turn to give Cybulski his flush, but with another spade, it would be Kanowsky taking the lead.

The river landed the {A-Hearts} and Cybulski doubled through to over 10,000 as both Kanowsky and Harrington took a step back.

Better Than Tens

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante
Tyson Apostol
Tyson Apostol

Tyson Apostol put in 2,500 preflop from middle position, and a player on his right who came into the pot for an unknown amount made the call. On the {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, the first player checked and Apostol bet 1,000. His opponent made it 2,500 and Apostol called. Check-check on the turn, and the board read {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} on the river. The first player bet 3,500 and Apostol called.

"I guess you have better than tens," the bettor said as he turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Indeed, Apostol showed down {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The former Survivor champion has more than doubled his starting stack as the first break approaches.

Huot Three-Bets and Wins

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante

On a flop of {2-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} with roughly 2,000 in the middle, Michael Cooper had checked from the big blind and Alex Huot had a lone 1,000-denomination chip placed in front of his dealer button.

Cooper responded by check-raising to 2,250 only to have Huot three-bet to 6,000.

"OK you got it." announced Cooper as he folded.

Hout collected the pot to move to just under 25,000.

King Trying to Take Second RIU Title

Level 6 : 200/400, 75 ante
Brandon King, pictured here last year.
Brandon King, pictured here last year.

On a flop of {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}, Brent Harrington bet 2,000 from the cutoff and got action from the player on the button. Brandon King was in the small blind and shoved all in for 9,250. A fourth player tanked awhile and mucked, and Harrington followed suit. The player on the button called, however.

King: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Button: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}

King was fading just the {5-Spades} that would give his opponent a straight flush, but the turn and river were clean for him.

Last year at Run It Up Reno, King took down the $85 All In Or Fold tournament, topping 112 players for a $4,748 first-place prize. He's looking to add to his RIU hardware here in 2016.
