Holloway Shoves on Khait

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

Anna Khait opened with a raise under the gun to 425 and was called by a player next to speak.

The action then folded to Chad Holloway in the small blind and he moved all in for his last 8,300.

Khait contemplated for a few moments before folding, as did the player caught in the middle to see Holloway scoop the pot.

Somerville Out-Kicks Harrington

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

Jason Somerville opened with a raise from middle position only to have Brent Harrington three-bet from the big blind to 1,600.

Somerville called, and on the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, he called a 1,500-chip continuation-bet from Harrington.

Both players then proceeded to check the {6-Clubs} and {5-Hearts} on the turn and river.

Harrington tabled his {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, but it would be Somerville's {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} that would see him scoop the pot with the superior ace-high kicker.

Two Pair for Gates

Level 1 : 50/100, 25 ante
Garry Gates
Garry Gates

With roughly 1,300 in the pot and the board reading {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}, Andre Boltryk checked from the small blind over to Garry Gates.

Gates bet out 600 only to have Boltryk check-raise to 1,600. Gates called, and then both players checked the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

Boltryk tabled his {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, but it would be Gates' {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a better two pair that would see him pushed the pot.

Khait Takes from Holloway

Level 1 : 50/100, 25 ante

The All IN or Fold bubble boy from last night in Chad Holloway opened the action from the button with a min-raise to 200.

From the big blind, Anna Khait called as both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop.

The turn landed the {Q-Hearts} and Khait tossed in a bet of 250 and Holloway swiftly mucked.

Time to Survive!

RIU Reno
RIU Reno

Welcome back to the Peppermill Resort Hotel and the 2016 Run It Up Reno festival hosted by Jason Somerville for Event 3: $235 Survivor!

Today is all about survival as the tournament will set aside one survivor for every $1,000 in the prizepool (every 1 in 5 players), and once the tournament has reached that stage everyone will be paid out an equal $1,000 with any left over money set aside for the Bubble Boy. A Run It Up Reno trophy is also on the line and will go to whoever amasses the biggest chip stack once the money is reached.

Last year's running saw 180 players create a $17,996 prizepool that paid the final 22 players with the likes of David Spurr, Alex Lavinthal, Deb Swift and Dwight Ross all capture $818 each. A similar size field is expected today, and with re-entries through the first nine levels, even more players will expect to be one of the Run It Up Reno Survivors!

Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. PDT with PokerNews providing continuous live updates of the tournament, and the entire Run It Up Reno festival.
