Harrington's Making Another Run

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Brent Harrington just collected another bounty, as he found himself in a favourable situation. A short-stacked player moved all in for just 18,000 and the small blind shoved over the top for 53,000 before the action got to Harrington.

In the big blind Harrington looked down on {A-}{K-} and he called all in for less than what the small blind had.

Harrington: {A-}{K-}
Small blind: {A-}{J-}
Short stack: {10-}{6-}

The board brought mere blanks and Harrington now sits on 105,000 chips.

Fein Grabs the Lead

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Robert Fein from St. Louis just grabbed the chip lead after winning a huge pot against Marty Gorenc. The action started with a raise from Fein to 4,800 in middle position and Gorenc called from his direct left in the hijack.

The flop brought out {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Fein continued for 10,000 after which Gorenc moved all in to put pressure on his opponent. Fein however didn't feel the pressure, as he called to create a massive pot.

Fein: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Gorenc: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The turn brought the {Q-Hearts} and Gorenc added even more outs to his hand, but the river was the {5-Clubs} and that gave Fein the pot and a stack of 175,000.

Survivors Going Strong

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Both Survivor contestants Tyson Apostol and Boston Rob Mariano are still going strong in this event, and the former just managed to collect a bounty after knocking his first player out.

The player under the gun was all in for just 1,500 and Apostol called, after which two other players including Jason Somerville, made the call.

The flop brought out {2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Apostol got the other players to fold with a bet, creating the following showdown.

Apostol: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}, {8-Clubs} and Apostol raked in this pot to boost his stack to 32,000.

One table over we spotted Mariano who's in way better shape with 89,000 chips and he's among the biggest stacks in the room.

Roy Does it Again

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Roy Peters, winner of the first event this week, made a deep run in yesterday's Survivor event and had a notable double up when he shoved blind with what later turned out to be {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Peters' up to the same tricks again today, as he was all in blind for 6,500 against Alex Lavinthal.

Lavinthal: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Peters: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Peters doubled up.
