Eight Return to Battle for the First-Ever Potomac Winter Poker Open Main Event Title and Trophy

The final day of the 2020 Potomac Winter Poker Open $3,000 Main Event starts at 1 p.m. local time and by the end of it, the first-ever Main Event champion will be crowned. A total of 294 entries were collected over the three starting days and 8 players return to battle it out for the lion-share of the $781,746 prize pool. The winner will walk away with $189,965 while everyone is guaranteed at least $21,498.

When the players return to the MGM National Harbor, a change of scenery is to be expected as the final table stage has been moved to the High Limit Poker Room in the casino itself. Glenn Chernigoff comes back with the chip lead and 3,455,000 in chips, he is followed by Ulises Roman with 3,360,000, Jeromy Bittan with 2,410,000, Alison Lewis Leslie with 1,645,000, and Joe McKeehen with 1,560,000 in chips to complete the top five. But don’t count out Matthew Sesso (1,300,000), Jeff Esterling (775,000), and David Olshan with 200,000 in chips as they’re still in it too.

When play resumes, Level 23 will be the first level of the day with a small blind of 20,000, big blind of 40,000, and a big blind ante of 40,000. Level duration will increase to 75 minutes each the assumption is that a 10-minute break will take place after every level.
