$100,000 GTD in the $400 Large Stack 2020 Potomac Winter Poker Open Tournament
Get stuck in for another exciting day at the MGM National Harbor for Day 1a and 1b of the $400 Large Stack at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. local time of the 2020 Potomac Winter Poker Open. The eighth event features a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 and is sure to attract a bunch of poker players like it did for the Opening Event which was won by Yaser Al-Keliddar by defeating Matthew McGuire heads-up.
In 2019 there was no Winter Open but last August it was Jeremy Carney who walked away with the title after a heads-up deal was agreed with Justin Arnwine. With 330 entries last year and a lower buy-in of $370 but with the numbers of the Opening Event surpassing last year’s number, who knows how many players will be coming to take their shot at that amazing prize pool for a two-day event.
Players will get 40,000 in chips in their start stack, level duration will remain at 30 minutes during the first 18 levels and increase to 45 minutes until the final table has been reached. The level duration will then be increased again but to 60 minutes. The late registration period and single reentry period will remain open until the start of Level 12.
The tournament will pay 12% of the field and play down until 8% is left. Day 2 will start at the earliest time any of the two starting flights end and all players who make the money on Day 1 are guaranteed to cash for $550.
