Thomas Tolbert Claims PPO Event #2: $370 NLH One-Day for $16,186
PokerNews is at the 2019 Potomac Poker Open (PPO) to offer live updates from three tournaments, but those are just a few of the 14 events playing out at MGM National Harbor.
Another was Event #2: $370 NLH One-Day, a tournament that attracted 212 entrants and surpassed the $50K GTD by creating a $63,600 prize pool.
The top 25 players got paid, and some of those to cash but fall short of making the final table were Seyed Bajestani (10th - $1,113), Andrew Kim (15th - $954), Patrick Lin (19th - $636), Kyle Benedict (23rd - $636), and Sepehr Mesdaghinia (25th - $319).
At the final table, it was Thomas Tolbert of Ypoikah, Michigan besting Ashburn, Virginia's Jeffrey McCaoley in heads-up play to win the title and $16,186 first-place prize.
