A total of 1,906 players started Day 2 of the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event - Medium, $1,050 NLHE, $5M Gtd with Daniel "judgedredd13" Charlton coming back with a commanding chip lead. The event guaranteed a minimum prize pool of $5,000,000 and after late registration was completed a total of 4,646 entries made the field, resulting in an overlay of $354,000 and some extra added value for all those remaining with the winner set to be crowned champion and $712,429 payday.

With 79 players remaining it is "Twicyyy", from the United Kingdom, that heads the pack with 20,543,293 and is the only player in the field with over 20 million chips. They are chased down by Miguel "CambadaDeMixos" Lopes (14,736,852) and online crusher Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson (9,005,576).

Day 2 Action

The action started thick and fast with notables such as Tobias "Senkel92" Leknes, Patrick "pads1161" Leonard and PokerStars Team Pro Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas all busting early doors.

Day 1 Chip Leader Daniel "judgedredd13" Charlton couldn't continue his Day 1 form and busted before the money in 884th place.

As the bubble loomed, play slowed down and when forced all-in on his big blind, "bianchettibh" was the final player to leave empty-handed as he was bested by the suited ace-eight of "docsws1122", much to the merriment of the remaining 655 players that all found themselves in the money.

Some notable names ran deep including Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden (195th - $4,435), PokerStars Ambassador Sam "SamSquid" Grafton (186th - $4,435) and Antoine "A.Saout" Saout (165th - $4,435).

Blinds will resume at 80,000/160,000 with a 20,000 ante and an average stack of 36 big blinds. Be sure to tune in with PokerNews as will be back again on November 8 at 17:30 GMT to follow the action as they play down to the Final Table.
