Action Until the Final Table
"Zagalo87" and "beastishngry" came into the final day at the bottom of the chip counts so it was no surprise that they were the first two virtual bodies to drop.
Dimitri "MITS 304" Michaelides made his exit shortly after followed by "NikkooD", who failed to complete his flush draw against "WhatifGod" holding a pair of aces.
Joep "Pappe_Ruk" van den Bijgaart had a rough start into the final day after he picked up a pair of cowboys only to run into "WhatifGod's" pocket aces.
"jokkee_apart" suffered several setbacks early on and their final hand wouldn't be any different. After flopping top two-pair, "jokkee_apart" was looking good to score their much-needed double up until Crema turned a set of aces ending their tournament.
Next to go was "Thomsgen", who got their last chips in good but Burns caught a lucky river sending them to the rail in 12th place.
"Riphraph94" had a disappointing Day 3 after coming into the final day third in chips, they made their exit in 11th place after they held an inferior two-pair against Geilich.
"texasilainen" was the next to fall after their pocket aces were set up by "klem90's" pocket kings.
Thiago "KKremate" Crema was the next person that climbed aboard the disappointment train as he went into his final hand second in chips only to call off his stack holding two-pair against Burns who held the nut-straight.
After sending multiple people to the rail, "WhatifGod" took their exit in eighth place after they got their chips in the middle with a gutshot staright draw and was called by Geilich who flopped the goods. "WhatifGod" picked up a diamond draw on the turn but their tournament ended after they bricked the river.
The official final table bubble boy was then Olli "Erä_Koira" Ikonen who was wheeled out by the door in seventh place by Burns.
Burns Prevails While Geilich's Heater Comes to an End
Once the final table was set, Geilich and Burns held more than half of the total chips in play between them and Geilich continued to add chips after he eliminated "fish_san" in sixth place, "ZipOHoy" in fifth place and "klem90" in fourth place.
When three-handed action started, both Geilich and Burns held substantial chip advantages over Decourt but that wouldn't deteriorate him as he doubled-up through each of them, leveling the playing field.
The start of Level 39 saw all three players within a few big blinds but it was Burns and Decourt dominated the action to become the run-away chip leaders. Geilich held on for as long as he could and found a few double-ups until ultimately giving his chips to Decourt.
The heads-up battle saw the both players hold even stacks but it was Burns who established a comfortable lead early on and he never looked back.
