Wilson Rips It

Level 41 : 350,000/700,000, 87,500 ante

Alex "AlexGelinski" Gelinski raised to 1,400,000 in early position and "Darwinsfish" called one seat over. In the big blind, chip leader Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson, who also has the biggest progressive bounty of over $10,000, simply moved all in.

Gelinski, with about 18 big blinds behind, let it go and Darwinsfish, with 24 bigs in front of him, also gave it up.

Bad Start for Silva

Level 41 : 350,000/700,000, 87,500 ante

Eduardo "Eduard850" Silva started the final table as the chip leader but dropped two pots to slip to the middle of the pack. In the first hand, he played a single-raised pot against Rasmus "Powergolf" Zerr in the big blind.

On a {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, Zerr check-called 1,982,750 from Silva, as well as 2,205,000 on the {8-Spades} turn. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked. Zerr showed {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for trip sevens and Silva mucked.

Two hands later, Silva opened under the gun, "JEIK0" called in middle position and Zerr called on the button. The flop was {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Silva continued for 1,575,000 which only "JEIK0" called.

The turn brought the {j-Hearts} and Silva check-called 2,100,000 from "JEIK0". The {7-Clubs} river saw two checks. Silva tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for kings and jacks but "JEIK0" had {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for trip jacks to win the pot.

Are These The Most Unstoppable Players in WCOOP History?

Level 40 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante
WCOOP
WCOOP

Just a couple of short years ago, only one player had accumulated five WCOOP titles.

Since then, the picture has changed quite a lot.

Two excellent MTT pros have now taken the lead, both with insane scores – one player has nine WCOOP titles, and another has eight.

With the WCOOP 2020 upon us, all could change again over the coming weeks, but it’s going to take nothing less than a legendary run if anyone is to join the top of the pack.

So as we look forward to the Series, here are the players who have won the most WCOOP titles so far. You’ll also find out who that five-time winner was.

Martin "martin12389" Schejtman moved all in for 4,961,514 from the small blind and Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson called from the big blind.

Martin "martin12389" Schejtman: {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The flop came down {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for Wilson to flop two pair but Schejtman picked up a straight draw. Neither the {k-Spades} turn nor {a-Spades} river completed the straight and the Argentinian missed out on the final table.

"Darwinsfish" Climbing Back Up

Level 40 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Start-of-the-day chip leader "Darwinsfish" had tumbled all the way down to the 10 big blind mark but found his footing and is making his way up again. The Dutchman won a couple of smaller pots without showdown to get himself out of the danger zone.

In the last hand, he limped in from the small blind to bet 600,000 on a {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop against Alex "AlexGelinski' Gelinski. On the {6-Clubs} turn, "Darwinsfish" checked, Gelinski bet 693,750, "Darwinsfish" check-raised to 2,400,000 and that was the end of it.
