Welcome to the Final Day of $10,300 WCOOP Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship

Aku Joentausta

After action packed days on both Day 1 and Day 2, the field of 100 entrants has been whittled down to just seven remaining in pursuit of a victory in $10,300 WCOOP Pot-Limit Omaha Championship on Pokerstars. These seven competitors will sit down to continue play at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, and action will continue until only one of them remains.

Leading the way will be the Danish "Imbajimbaa", who finished Day 2 with an impressive stack of 7,270,24, primarily earned from a huge double up they hit just a couple hands before play ended. Speaking of, it was also "Imbajimbaa" who managed to burst the final table bubble, after they eliminated Christopher "lissi stinkt" Frank in eighth place after nearly two hours of hand for hand play. Hot on his tail is fellow Scandinavian, "anonymstruts" from Sweden, who bagged 5,514,898.

After a bit of a gap between second and the rest of the field, two more Scandinavians can be found in third and fourth, in "jokkee_apart" (3,658,468) from Norway and Aku "Aku1206" Joentausta (2,144,126) from Finland. "jokkee_apart" is no stranger to high stakes PLO glory on Pokerstars, as he won the $5,200 Pot-Limit Omaha event in 2022. Prior to the big pot for "Imbajimbaa", it was Joentausta who had had the biggest pot of the tournament, when he turned a flush to win a pot of over 4,000,000.

Rounding out the finalists are Joao "Naza114" Vieira (2,042,241), "ADIBO" (1,922,112), and "eltucu64" (1,447,914). While they each will have some work to do to become the champion, they have all shown themselves capable just to make it this far, and will each be sitting down with more than 20 big blinds, plenty of chips to make a run.

Each of the remaining players have locked up a payout of at least $43,986.40, but all eyes will be on the $233,532.10 cash for the winner. Play will resume midway through Level 26, where blinds are 35,000/70,000 with a 7,000 ante. Levels will last 30 minutes each, with a five minute break every hour, 55 minutes past the hour. Play will continue until a new champion is crowned.
