Himmelbrand Continues to Pull in Pots

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Greg Himmelbrand limped in the small blind before Soukha Kachittavong raised in the big blind to 300,000. Himmelbrand called and the flop landed 987. Action checked through to an 8 turn and Himmelbrand opted to lead for 400,000. Kachittavong called.

The river landed a J and Himmelbrand led again for a larger sizing of 750,000. Kachittavong went into the tank for about a minute before putting in the chips and seeing the bad news.

Himmelbrand tabled 1010 for a rivered straight and Kachittavong mucked.

Porter called and they were off to a Q82 flop. Porter check-called a 375,000 bet from Himmelbrand on their way to a 9 turn. It checked through and the 5 landed on the turn. The action checked through again and Himmelbrand tabled AK for just ace-high to scoop.

Adam Reese opened from the small blind to 200,000 before getting three-bet to 550,000 from Andrew Porter in the big blind.

Reese thought for a moment and then gathered the chips for a four-bet to 1,100,000. Porter thought for only a second before moving in. Reese snap folded and Porter dragged the pot.

Reese now sits as the short stack as Porter is trending up.

Adam Reese opened the button to 175,000 before he got a call from Andrew Porter in the small blind and a three-bet from the big blind to 725,000 from Greg Himmelbrand. It was back on Reese who took a moment before putting in the warm four-bet to the tune of 1,600,000. Porter folded and action was back on Himmelbrand.

Himmelbrand went into the tank for a moment and then eventually called and they were off to a flop.

The Q53 flop landed and Himmelbrand check-called a 575,000 bet from Reese on their way to a J turn.

The action checked through and the 4 landed on the river.

Himmelbrand tanked for almost two minutes before announcing a bet of 2,200,000. Reese thought for a moment and then folded.

Himmelbrand was pushed the pot and now has a little under half the chips in play.
