Event #81: $300 Main Event has come to an end at the 2023 Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP), with Alex "Schwibbs1" Schwint overcoming an 877-player field and defeating "Tru3Undertaker" heads-up to claim the $40,807 first-place prize and a NAPT Golden Pass, valued at $20,000.
Schwint is no stranger to success online, having already won an online World Series of Poker bracelet last year in a No-Limit Hold'em event for $27,054. Schwint also won a PACOOP $500 8-Max High Roller event in 2021 for $13,869. Today's victory marks a career-best score for the online grinder.

9 | "steelcitypoker" | United States | $2,720 |
The action was hot right out the gate, with nearly half of the field being eliminated by the first break of the day. Interestingly, "Tru3Undertaker" was dead last in chips at that time before beginning his relentless ascent.
The Day-1 chip leader, "amr2002417", claimed a couple of early eliminations, including a hand where they went runner-runner to make a straight against "5BetBill".
"fubadbeatbob" assumed the chip lead right up until the final table after winning a massive flip against "usmc2doc13".
The final-table bubble burst after "Tru3Undertaker" won a flip against a short-stacked "BirdBrain64" in what turned out to be just the beginning of what looked to be an unstoppable run. "Tru3Undertaker" went on to claim three final-table casualties in a row, starting with "steelcitypoker" after flopping trip threes against ace-jack. Bilinsky then fell to "Tru3Undertaker" after getting all-in preflop with ace-six against king-queen and losing to a flopped queen. "Tru3Undertaker" capped off the hat trick after catching "amr2002417" making a move with ace-five and holding with pocket tens.
Gruneberg couldn't get much going and ended up losing the majority of his chips to "mbw2388" after running ace-seven into pocket eights. He was eliminated shortly thereafter.
Soon after "Sleévy" hit the rail, "fubadbeatbob" followed suit after losing a flip against "Tru3Undertaker" for their fourth elimination of the final table.
Three-handed play sailed along at a rapid pace, with decisions being made quickly and many small pots exchanging hands. "mbw2388" ended up losing the majority of their chips to Schwint, who had been content to slowly chip up and pick his spots, after flopping top pair against Schwint's trip sixes. "mbw2388" bowed out in third place after getting all-in preflop dominated with king-ten against Schwint's ace-king and failing to improve.
"Tru3Undertaker" held a considerable lead over Schwint at the start of heads-up play, but things quickly went south for them after Schwint forced a fold from "Tru3Undertaker" in a large pot on the first hand of head-up.
Just a few short hands later, Schwint finished the job after "Tru3Undertaker" shoved with top pair into Schwint's rivered flush — ending the tournament and adding another title to Schwint's poker resume.
