Action of the Day
A star-studded field was in attendance for the biggest buy-in on the NJCOOP docket, but it was difficult day for most of them, as WSOP Bracelet winners Ryan "hagz2richez" Hagerty and Michael "J3tBl@ckP0pe" Gagliano, along with crushers like Daniel "loxonbagel" Buzgon and Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro all fired and failed to make it to the money.
The final table saw entnowski come in with the chip lead, after eliminating Angel "Chr0meKing" Lopez in a huge pot just before the final table commenced. With the chip lead in hand, Tentnowski sat back as "Sgt. Tibbs" busted in seventh to Funaro, and Tentnowski went right for those chips a few hands later. The ace-queen of Tentnowski would hold against the ace-five of Funaro, and Tentnowski now held nearly half of the chips in play on the bubble.
After Tentnowski went on a tear of winning pot after pot with preflop aggression, "NINE9NINE9NINE" took a stand against Tentnowski with jack-ten, but couldn't best Tentnowski's ace-eight and bubbled the High Roller. From there, it was "RequalsI" who became the executioner, busting "coldandwarm" and "ROU$EY" in back-to-back hands to bring things to nearly even heads-up.
Despite the fairly deep stacks, things came down to the most classic of races a short time later, as Tentnowski got it in with ace-king against the pocket jacks of "RequalsI". A king on the turn sent all but just over a big blind to Tentnowski, and a few hands later, Tentnowski had earned his second NJCOOP title of the series.
